Whirling Dervish could, possibly, be a big sister today, or shortly after.
Her Mum is going in to have, as far as my understanding of all things natal goes, be popped.
This week I have learned the term ‘stretch and sweep’. Really? They do that?
I was QUITE happy until five years ago and the birth of youngest nephew, that I didn’t know what a mucus plug was. Thanks, Little Sister.
It’s been a weird couple of weeks, Husband and I being on standby for the call that baby is on its way.
It isn’t anything to do with us.
Except we’re ready to pick up Whirling Dervish in the middle of the night if her Mum goes in to labour.
Except Whirling Dervish will be beyond excited at the eventual arrival of her baby brother and I expect it to be pretty high on the topics of conversation list.
Except our time and plans with Whirling Dervish will be fluid depending on how much time she wants to spend at home with the baby.
And so, even though it’s nothing to do with us, we wait. Talk about a pregnant pause!
